In many of the books I read, authors discuss the major breakthroughs in paranormal research, specifically EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) and ITC (Instrumental Trans Communication). There is usually a rather large section devoted to crediting Friedrich Juergenson for discovering EVP, even though some would credit individuals from a decade or so before. They then move onto praising Konstantin Raudive for his work with the subject. I always get disappointed when there isn’t as much focus or credit given to Sarah Estep, but there’s almost always at least a statement about her founding the AA-EVP, which is now ATransC (Association TransCommunication). Often there are complete chapters devoted to developments in ITC and EVP from the 1970s and 80s. There was a lot going on. Since I was young, and since this topic wasn’t even on my radar during that time period, I can only imagine how exciting it was to be involved with groundbreaking developments like spiricom or communication with the Timestream group.
Maybe I’m reading the wrong books, or maybe they’re just all outdated, but with the possible exception of the Scole group’s work in the 1990s, the history books seem to mostly end the timeline at the end of the 1980s. Maybe they just ran out of room on the page? I’ve highlighted so many examples of spirit communication from spirit teams on the other side with prophesies of how great progress would be happening in the future, or about how communication with the other side would continue to improve. In some of these older books you almost get the picture that the author fully expected us to have access to an elevator that just takes us right to the other side for face to face communication by now. Surely with our iPhones and tablets we should have been able to just stop on the side of the road in the car, pull out the bag phone from under the seat, pull up the antenna, and place a call to our ancestors in 1995. What has really improved besides us walking around for a decade with spirit boxes and digital recorders? Where is Timestream now?
Obviously we’ve been experiencing a decade or more of the current great paranormal craze. There are amazing researchers and experimenters out there. There have been many improvements in technology since Juergenson. More and more people are becoming enlightened to spiritual and paranormal topics. So… where does all of this fit in the history books? Where is the chapter for 2000 and beyond… and who is in it? Will paranormal reality TV stars be the next names to go down in history? (Am I still talking?)
Just a thought…
I am very excited to tell you that the report from my Two-Week EVP Experiment from this last Spring was just published in the Summer issue of the Association TransCommunication News Journal. I’d like to sincerely thank Lisa and Tom Butler for including it and believing it was interesting enough to publish. 🙂
I’ve mentioned ATransC and several of the researchers and books associated with this very important group many times in this blog. If you’re interested in EVP, ITC, or any form of spirit communication at all, you should definitely check out their site and the huge wealth of knowledge and resources that are there. You may even want to consider joining. In one way or another, ATransC has played a very big role in this still very new but exciting journey that I’m on.
I’m not yet aware of a link to the online version of this issue, but if you’re interested, the report is very similar to “The EVP Experiment” that is linked above.
By the way! If it’s HOT where you are now, I hope you’re staying safe and COOL, especially if you’re on the East or West coast of the United States. I know I have several friends and readers affected by the extreme weather conditions going on right now. It’s pretty miserable and dry here in Missouri, but we don’t have much to complain about from what I’m hearing and seeing from many of you.
Thanks for visiting and reading!
If you are a facebook friend of mine you’ve probably heard me mention The Big Circle before. If you are a parent who has lost a child, or anyone who has lost a loved one, you absolutely should watch both of the videos below. I’ve watched them many times in the last few years. This group is a part of the Association TransCommunication (ATransC, formerly AA-EVP), in which I am a member of and have mentioned quite a bit on here.
If you’ve been following my EVP experiment in the last few weeks, you’ll remember that I’ve been asking assistance from my guides to help bring in the presence of Sarah Estep (who founded the AA-EVP/ATransC), and anyone from The Big Circle. As you’ll see in the videos, Martha Copeland started the group after her teenage daughter Cathy died in a car accident. From the other side, Cathy began communicating with loved ones via the computer and EVP. There is a book by Martha about this amazing story of Cathy and The Big Circle called I’m Still Here. It’s a great book.
The last paragraph in I’m Still Here really moved me.
After completing this last page of the book, I envisioned a white light of love and protection surrounding me. Turning on my recorder, I posed this question: “Cathy, how do you and The Big Circle feel about the book?” Playing back the recording, I could hear Cathy’s voice saying, “Thank you, Mom,” and a male voice followed her voice with a clear “thank you.”
How can anyone NOT be moved by this stuff?
From the site…
The Big Circle consists of our loved ones in the etheric along with their loved ones in the physical. The realization that this group existed in the etheric, and was trying to connect to their loved ones here in the physical world, prompted members of the Association to form a special group called “Big Circle – Bridge to the Afterlife,” which is now referred to simply as the “Big Circle.” This group is made up of bereaved parents, spouses, siblings, and friends, whose mission is to build a channel between the physical and etheric aspects of reality–a Bridge to the Afterlife. We do this by joining our energies together on alternate Thursdays at 8:00 PM. We try to keep reminders of upcoming recording dates posted on the ATransC Idea Exchange in the Big Circle forum. But you can figure out the next date by extrapolating from the ones listed here. We effectively conduct a worldwide group recording session. Some participants join together in groups, or individually from their homes, making a joint effort to record for about five minutes.
Now days in paranormal investigation, EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) tend to be the most popular form of evidence caught.
As the founder of Missouri Spirit Seekers, I can tell you we are probably a little more cautious at claiming ANY evidence is paranormal than a lot of other groups out there. Therefore, we don’t have a ton of dramatic EVP evidence that we believe is 100% paranormal, but our biggest piece of evidence in the form of EVP is from one of our investigations of Friedens United Church of Christ in St. Charles, MO. Below is a video of this EVP that I put together.
Not all who study EVP do it via paranormal investigations of haunted locations.
There are many people who have a daily routine of recording and communicating with spirits on the other side and those that remain earthbound. Many people claim to also record voices of entities from other planets or galaxies. There is so much to learn about EVP, who we are talking to, and how it works, and in my opinion the study of it is still very much in its infancy.
One of things I like to do occasionally is record random EVP sessions in my home. I’m not really good at being consistent (and that’s important) because life gets busy and it’s not always easy to find a quiet time and place. Before these sessions I try to ground and center and sometimes have a quick meditation. During the sessions I always ask if there are any entities from the light present who are willing to communicate with me to further the study of EVP and life on the other side. I frequently ask to talk to some of the EVP pioneers who have been known to communicate with people around the world. For portions of the recordings I’ll usually use three different kinds of “white noise” that has been known to help entities produce sound and communicate. I also frequently use Stefan Bion’s EVP Maker, which many people use study EVP use. After learning how many people have been contacted through electronic devices, such as a computer, I’ve also been opening a new word document for each session as well. Why not? This kind of documented evidence (and EVP itself) is an example of Instrumental TransCommunication, or ITC.
I’ve not had a lot of success with my personal EVP sessions yet, but I’m determined to keep trying. As I said, I haven’t been very consistent. Starting this week I am on vacation for two weeks. I plan to conduct short EVP sessions daily during this whole time period. I’ve learned a lot from Sarah Estep’s Voices of Eternity and I recently joined the Association TransCommunication (formerly AA-EVP that was started by Estep herself). I’d like to try some new things. I hope to have some things to share with you in the next few weeks.
I highly recommend the following books if you’re interested in EVP.
