Sylvia Browne
October 19, 1936 – November 20, 2013
Spiritual teacher and psychic Sylvia Browne didn’t have the easiest life, and controversy sometimes followed her, but today she passed on, presumably to a beautiful and picturesque Other Side that she wrote so much about. I absolutely love her books, and am convinced that many of her critics have not read one. I just know that she’s working on a new book right now, well, at least after her guide Francine drops her off at one of the marble benches inside the Hall of Wisdom for the cool scanning machine, which she claims is our first stop after reuniting with our pets and loved ones.
She always claimed that she was on her last incarnation, so what now? I wouldn’t mind having an extra guide! And if Francine is looking for another gig, the more the merrier! I have to tell you, it makes me want to have a séance right now. I sincerely hope she reports back to someone soon!
.
Our lives on this earth, no matter how briefly or how long they last, are just moments in the context of the eternity God breathed into us at the instant He created us. Our real lives, joyful and glorious and perfect, are back Home, on the Other Side, where we all came from, the place we’re wistfully Homesick for every minute we’re here whether we’re consciously aware of it or not, and where we’ll go when we abandon these flawed, cumbersome bodies and soar Home again as alive as ever. Clinging fiercely to this one life, as if it’s all there is and all there will ever be, would be no different than clinging fiercely to one random day of school, as if there’s nowhere else to go but there and nothing more to learn.

So much I could say, but it would all be in bad taste.

…then thank you for not saying it. 🙂

I like Sylvia’s books. Her book about animals and the afterlife was a great comfort to me when my MiniKitty passed. And I think she gets a good deal of the stuff right when it comes to the astral plane and the wisdom temples. (Love her beautiful descriptions.) I think that people like Sylvia uplift the world by showing us that this physical plane isn’t all there is.

“All Pets Go To Heaven”… I have it on my shelf. 🙂 I’ve lost many four legged family members in my lifetime, but not recently in my adulthood. In a few years I’ll have to get it back off the shelf again, I’m sure. 🙁

Whatever anyone might have to say about this woman, I read most of her books and enjoyed them very much. Psychic fraud or not, Sylvia Browne had a line on the otherside…you just can’t make some of that stuff up.

She passed over? How? I mean…..oh my God, I can’t believe it. She wasn’t even that old. I’m in shock. As a psychic (Intuitive Clairvoyant) myself I know how hard it is to live in a judging, scrutinizing world and my heart went out to her. I understand the pressure your put under to get it 100% right. Well now she is free, and with her loved ones. It doesn’t bode well for me that most of these people don’t live past a certain age. I’m genuinely in shock. Bless her. I hope her passing was peaceful and quick. I’m just in shock. She can Rest In Peace now.

Yeah, Spiritchild. She most certainly didn’t have an easy road… but she believed it was all in her plan. Didn’t she also say that this life was her last one? She was going to continue with whatever her occupation on the Other Side was. I forget what area it was. But seriously, I’d love to hire Francine if she’s available. 😉

Exactly, Diane. 🙂 I was guilty of making fun of her until my mother begged me to read one of her books… as my eyes rolled out of my head. I’ve read about 10 since then. 🙂

Lovely tribute to her, Patrick. As a human she may have erred in some cases, but I believe had a true connection. May she be in bliss!

In all seriousness, I really hope she reports back soon also. I don’t know why there has been so much internet outrage about her surrounding her death, but it is sad. Thanks for writing this lovely tribute to her.

Has there been outrage? Fill me in.

I’ve seen nasty remarks in the comments sections of news articles about being glad she’s dead because she was “a fraud.” A thread on a message board ended up getting locked for the same thing. Just internet nerd rage, I guess.

Oh how sad. That would be pathetic, fraud or not. I’m sure she’s having a laugh from the Other Side, regardless… she’s got more exciting things to worry about now. 🙂
